Doors 2018: Highlights From Our Summer Program

Doors_4C_primaryThe Doors summer intern program keeps growing! This summer we hosted the most interns in the program’s history with 27 interns participating from various Corporate departments and three local branches.

Our interns enjoyed getting to know each other through lunch games, developmental opportunities, tours of local operations, and exposure to company leaders. The summer finished strong with their final presentations and a closing luncheon to recognize their achievements.

Here are a few glimpses into our summer!

A Successful Summer for Doors

Yesterday we celebrated the close of our Doors summer intern program with our largest group ever of 27 participating interns! We couldn’t be prouder of these young professionals, and we’re glad they chose L&P as a stop along their career journey.

To each of you, thank you for your talents and we wish you great things in your future!

Doors 2017: Highlights From Our Summer Program

We recently wrapped up our Doors 2017 Summer Intern Program, and we couldn’t wait to share some highlights with you. This year, we set a new record for the most participating interns since the program began. We enjoyed a variety of activities throughout the summer, from lunch games to professional development sessions to volunteering for a local charity. The program culminated with each intern presenting their summer’s projects in front of peers and executives.

Here are a few photos to recap our summer of fun and hard work!

Brain breaks are always needed. What better way than by playing games over lunch!

Employee Spotlight: How an IT Intern Makes His Mark in a Manufacturing Company

For proof that we hire some of the most talented and unique interns around, meet Charlie Kovacs.

By day, Charlie attends Missouri State University, where he’s wrapping up his senior year in a Computer Information Systems and Management program. By night, Charlie plays guitar in a garage punk band called The Scamps, and the ‘60s throwback group recently produced their first record.
