Today and every day is a great day to be kind. Watch how it makes you happier and inspires those around you!
The Lunar New Year is a time of new beginnings and joyous celebrations. It’s a time to reflect on the past year and look forward to the future with hope and optimism.
To welcome the Year of the Dragon and thank our dedicated colleagues in China, Sonia Smith, President of L&P Automotive, shared an inspiring Lunar New Year message on behalf of the Automotive Leadership Team. We’d like to share some of it with you:
“As we embrace the Year of the Dragon, let its fiery spirit infuse our endeavors. The dragon symbolizes strength, courage, and transformation. May we channel these qualities as we forge ahead, overcoming obstacles and reaching new heights. Just as the dragon soars across the sky, may our Leggett family soar to greater achievements, fueled by passion and determination.
To our employees and their families, I extend warm wishes for the Lunar New Year. May this year bring prosperity, good health, and joy. May the dragon’s energy ignite fresh ideas, foster collaboration, and illuminate our path. Let us celebrate not only the turning of the lunar calendar but also the turning of our own narratives filled with hope and good health.”
Wishing you a happy and prosperous new year!
Our Automotive team in India welcomed the new year with a cake-cutting celebration. During the event, the team took time to appreciate everyone’s hard work and raise a toast to new beginnings. They’re excited to start fresh, go forward with positive attitudes, and focus on collaboration.
We invited a couple of team members to share their reflections:
Saravanan, Quality Department, shared, “I’ve been with L&P for 14 years, and I’ve become a better version of myself with my peers’ and managers’ support and guidance. I am happy and proud to be a part of Leggett & Platt.”
Ramkumar, Manufacturing Engineering Department, shared, “I’ve had opportunities to learn and develop myself during the past eight and a half years with L&P. Even though there have been challenges, my time here has been fabulous—L&P is a great place to work.”
Thank you to our Automotive team in India for putting people first and doing great work together!
We wish you and your loved ones a year filled with health and prosperity!

On Sunday, November 12, people worldwide will celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights.
Diwali originated in ancient India as a celebration of the return of Lord Rama to his kingdom after defeating the demon King Ravana. The holiday has different meanings and traditions for each religion and region of India and is celebrated by people in many other parts of the world, including Nepal, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, and Fiji.
Diwali celebrates the victory of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. Universally, it brings joy and happiness to millions, and festivals include colorful lights, music, dancing, and fireworks. Happy Diwali to all those who celebrate!
